Makena’s Newborn Photography Session

In 2014, I have focused my photography on newborns–I love this niche of portraits and feel blessed that so many families have entrusted me with their little ones. Makena’s mom chose a color palette that matched her nursery–gray, pink, and cream. ?I always encourage parents to choose a color scheme that will coordinate with their home and neutrals are always a classic. ?Makena had some tummy difficulties during her first session so I was thankful we were able to capture some cuddly sleeping shots a few days later. ?Her parent’s wanted to get some lifestyle shots of her with the family and then the rest posed portraits. ?I love incorporating family shots, especially with siblings and big brother Avery, age 3, was quite patient with his new sister. ?I look forward to seeing Makena grow during her first year as a Seek Joy baby bundle baby 🙂
