Johnson Wedding | Greenville SC Wedding Photographer {The Cliffs at Glassy | Pumpkintown Opry House}

Brides often ask me what happens if I get sick on the day of their wedding. ?To date, I have yet to miss a wedding. ?Despite having my gallbladder removed a few weeks prior unexpectedly, this couple had nothing to stress about–my assistant and I were able to capture every moment for them!

When I first spoke with Jacqueline on the phone about her wedding, I had goosebumps while listening to her engagement story and the wedding plans. I LOVE military weddings as my husband was also in the military for six years. ?We met them in early June at the chapel at The Cliffs at Glassy, one of my favorite venues.

You may notice her ear rings are in the shape of paper airplanes (see below). ?When these two were dating they wrote letters to each other and called them “paper airplanes”. ?This theme was carried throughout their wedding and it was so creative!

I love a good pair of heels.

I love having an experienced second shooter work with me at weddings. ? My second shooter for the day was able to capture some

great detail shots including the USA iPhone at the ceremony.

The expression in the bride’s father’s face here is priceless.

Her dress was absolutely gorgeous. ?I loved the lace and flower details.

Check out these cute navy bridesmaid dresses.

Jacqueline has the sweetest personality and was very relaxed throughout the day. ?Justin?s strength and courage were displayed through his uniform, yet his gentleness towards his new wife was seen as they interacted. You could tell they were able to enjoy every moment, and their love for each other was inspirational.

?These portraits were taken at one of the worst times of day for outdoor lighting. ?Another important reason to hire a professional who can work in all lighting conditions.

Their reception was at the Pumpkintown Opry House in Pickens SC. ?The beginning of the reception was held inside the theater. ?Despite another challenging lighting situation (all black walls and curtains with limited ambient light), we were able to capture some dramatic, gorgeous images. ?They incorporated a foot washing service at the reception to demonstrate their servant hearts for each other.

First Dances

The reception continued outside with a contra band and contra dancing. ?What a fun idea and great way to get everyone dancing!

We were able to sneak away during sunset to capture a few more gorgeous portraits.
