I was thrilled when Lisa Carpenter asked me to second shoot for her for a wedding earlier this month. ?I have been a huge fan of Lisa’s since I started in photography and felt honored she would ask me to join her. ?I met up with Lisa at Prince of Peace in Taylors, SC to get some detail shots of the church before the ceremony.
While Lisa captured the girls getting ready, I was able to be with the guys as they put on their finishing touches.
?I love using a wide angle for the groom and his groomsmen, especially with immaculate structures like Prince of Peace.
?I then headed inside to grab a few shots of the girls finishing getting dressed. ?These two flower girls were precious!
?Lisa and I took different angles inside the church to capture the ceremony. ?I loved being on the side and up in the balcony.
?After the ceremony, I quickly packed up and headed to the reception site. ?Lisa took care of the traditional family portraits which gave me time to go inside the Gold Room at the Westin Poinsett Hotel Downtown before everyone arrived. This venue is spectacular at Christmas time.
?I finished with the detail shots just in time for the bride and groom to arrive back at the hotel.
?Lisa shot closer up as I used my wide angle lens for these shots below to capture two different perspectives.
?We went back inside for the reception to begin. ?The guests were enjoying a cocktail hour while we finished the pictures with the bride and groom. ?This is a great option to allow more time in taking pictures after the ceremony.
?I finally got to go to the roof! ?Though elevators make me nervous (of course I did not tell Lisa that minor fact haha), the view was worth it!
?Oh how I do love a little Thriller!
?Best of luck in the beginning of your new life together Christine and Beau. ?It was a pleasure to be a part of your special day!
Thanks again to Lisa Carpenter in letting me join you for this special wedding. ?You can see Lisa’s blog at?http://www.lisacarpenterblog.com/?p=5802?
