Homes of Hope 8th Annual Golf Classic

Back in the Spring I had the chance to capture the Homes of Hope Silent Auction and Dinner.  I felt honored when they asked me to come back for their Golf Classic.  I absolutely loved being out of the office, spending the day at the The Cliffs of Keowee Falls.  They were able to raise close to $17,000 with this event!  The food was amazing thanks to Waffle House, Chick-Fil-A and VooDoo BBQ and Grill.   In case you do not know about this great organization, they provide safe, energy efficient  affordable housing to low-income and homeless families while also mentoring and providing construction job training to men overcome addictions.  You can check out more of their great work in the Greenville Community on their website:

Dowden Family | Greenville SC Child Photographer

I’ve had the honor of getting to know Dawn and her boys through Homes of Hope Events and was delighted when I had the opportunity to capture these handsome boys.  It was really hard to choose just a few for this sneak peek.  Meet Caleb, Kai, and Cody–three brothers that enjoy joking, teasing, and football.:)

Does anyone else love Kai’s Converse Shoes as much as I do?

Cody had me laughing as he pulled out treasures from his pockets during this shoot. I love how little boys seem to collect things in their pockets:)

The boys with their beautiful mom!

I love how Dawn is holding on to her youngest as Kai taps her on the shoulder.  Yep, this captures motherhood pretty accurately.

I had a great time with these guys.  Thanks Dawn!

Howard Wedding | Greenville SC Wedding Photography | Greer SC Wedding

Josh and Kelsi are absolutely precious as a couple.  Kelsi informed me that she would be ready, on time, the day of her wedding.  Though this has been said before to me, I never really expect this and actually build in time to the day’s timeline to account for a few extra needed minutes when it comes to getting ready.  However, Kelsi was on time-ready before her bridesmaids in fact.  Way to go!

Her bedroom was perfect for this dress shot!

 Gorgeous Ring!

Her wedding took place at her home–it was the perfect setting!

Josh arrived in style with his groomsmen behind him:)

Kelsi wanted a shot wearing Josh’s letterman jacket. So cute:)

 Head Shots=My favorites!

We decided to have the first sighting in this rustic barn on her property.  It made for a great backdrop and allowed them to have some privacy before the wedding day festivities began.  There is something special about these moments seeing each other before the wedding that is just priceless.  I almost always recommend it!

I always love a playful wedding party.

Group Shot!  I really wanted to use the hay bales as a backdrop.  As soon as the sun went behind some clouds I quickly instructed everyone to run over for a few shots while the lighting was not too bright.

Kelsi paid attention to the details…I love details

It started to rain just before the ceremony but the bride and groom seemed to not notice.  I loved that the sun came back out right as they were saying their vows.

 Candy?  Yes Please!

 My favorite portraits yet!

Peanut Butter Cake.  The wood stump is awesome.  Josh showed no mercy when it came to eating the first slice.

 First Dance

I fogot to mention, Kelsi’s dad built this structure just for her wedding.  Impressive!

Floating Lanterns—were a bit dangerous but looked great

Kelsi informed me they had decided to “trash her dress” at the end of the night….This is how she did it.  Amazing:)

A huge thanks to all the vendors that made this wedding amazing!
