Many of you have been following the Morrison Family since Jude was born last December. This has been a challenging year for them as baby Jude was born with CDH=Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Rose blogs often and you should check out their journey here: http://babymorrison2.blogspot.com/ Be sure to also check out this amazing group of people who helped the Morrison Family and many others in Charleston: http://www.cross-bridge.org/
Rose and Brian are thankful to be back home, and they are attempting to be as “normal” as possible after Jude was in the hospital 202 days this past year! I do not photograph much “lifestyle” photography as I prefer portraiture. However, for this family a “lifestyle” approach just made sense. Most moms take it for granted that they can make cookies with their daughters and read to both children in the comfort of their home. Now that the Morrison Family is setting up a more scheduled routine and enjoying these little moments in their home, it just seemed right to capture them in their home doing everyday things. For this family, “everyday things” carries a much stronger meaning.
Upon my arrival, I was instructed to take off my shoes and wash my hands thoroughly–with flu season here, many precautions are to be taken around baby Jude to prevent any illness. After moving around some furniture in the living room, the fun began. Annabelle has grown so much in the past year! It was a pleasure to finally meet Jude and to see the whole family.
Get out the tissues, the images may make you tear up a bit. Enjoy and give thanks as this little guy turned 1 this month
