Layla’s Newborn Photography Session {Mauldin, SC}

I have been honored to photograph many sweet babies this year and loved all the recent summer newborn sessions.

Meet Layla. ?Can you guess her favorite college team? ?I incorporated the color scheme of her nursery and kept with a simple style for her newborn photography session in the Greenville area. ?This little one made me pull out lots of tricks to soothe her. ?Ironically, after projectile vomiting on her dad (so sweet of her to do this to her dad and not me), she settled right down and I was able to capture many poses at the very end of our session. ?I intentionally set aside 2-3 hours for newborn sessions for this very reason as sometimes babies need extra soothing, comforting, feeding, and burping before they go into the deep sleep required to get posed newborn shots. ?Her parents really wanted a few shots of Layla with their first child, the family dog. ?Please note that her dad was cloned out of the dad and baby shots as safety always comes first 🙂 The family dog was quite curious about her and liked to smell and kiss her head–so sweet.
