I love my brides! I only accept a handful of weddings each year due to my schedule. I always feel blessed by how wonderful and sweet the brides are that I have the honor of being a part of their wedding day. Meet Katie (she is an amazing person and I know will make a wonderful wife to Tyler–and not just because we share the same name). We met up at the Rock Quarry Garden nestled in Cleveland Park in Greenville, SC for her bridal portraits this spring. Her mom and maid of honor joined us on this special afternoon to assist with her dress. I loved the connection between her and her mom. We used two bouquets during this shoot–one made from fresh flowers from a recent bridal shower and the other one was the same bouquet her mother carried at her wedding. She chose to carry her mother’s bouquet on her wedding day as well–so precious! During the shoot, while Katie was standing on the rock bridge in the garden, her mom leaned over to me and whispered she always imagined having a little girl and when she was a child she would draw pictures of a bride in a ballgown standing on a rock bridge. To see the look on her face when she saw her childhood drawing come to life in her own daughter, was a moment I will always remember. Now that the wedding is over, I can share these amazing portraits–even more so, I get to share with you the image of an amazing woman.
Congratulations Katie-you are a stunning bride.
